Many pieces of mining equipment are manufactured specifically for the mining companies that order them. This is especially true of the larger earth movers and conveyer belt systems. These conveyers are designed specifically to move materials from point A to point B, however these points vary based on the environment and layout of the individual site. Manufacturers therefore need to collaborate closely with the customer from the outset to design the system based on location. The highly custom nature of this manufacturing process naturally increases the cost, however there literally is no one size fits all solution for these pieces of mining equipment.
