Very few people bother to look at the fact sheet at the back of food and drug packages. I, for one, am very particular of the things I put in my mouth and what they are made of, especially if a person in a white suit in a doctor’s office told me to take them. Call me crazy, but doing this make you learn a lot about the medicines that doctors prescribe. I actually have learned that azithromycin is the most common macrolide antibiotic today. In almost every bottle of antibiotics that I have brought into my house (for me, my husband and my kids), there are Azithromycin samples present. I guess they really are effective in treating infections. The best thing I like about azithromycin and the newer types of macrolides is that they pose lower risk of gastrointestinal problems.
