Looking for Secure Online Data Back Up

There was a time when I used to back up all of my files to a disk. It was a tedious process but I knew that it was important. It saved me a lot of head aches when my computer did crash. But now I want to do something easier. I am looking into a secure online data back up such as carbonite. I have been looking into what is out there that will keep my files not only safe but secure as well since so many of them are private and confidential and I would be very upset if they got hacked into.
