A different way to stay

I managed to get in touch with the lady who looked after much of the national park accommodation to see just what sort of options we would have available in some of the more remote places. She was very helpful and gave me names of people to get in contact with about getting a bed for the night in some of these areas. I hadn’t realized that while there are not officially accommodation places, there are often people who open their doors to trampers and provide a warm bed and a meal in exchange for a bit of help around the place. I got in touch with some of these folks and got it all sorted out.
