We make a list

I make a pretty reasonable salary, but when we are trying to plan our vacation time we like to prioritize what it most important to us i.e. what we’re going to spend the most amount of money on, to what is least important to us. We usually want to go somewhere warm, and ideally with a nice beach, and my wife would rather eat out as much as possible as opposed to having to cook or make stuff in an apartment type place. We both also agree that we want to spend as little as possible on where we sleep, so we always look for taupo budget accommodation. We’d much rather spend our money on activities or shopping, and we figure that we’ll only be using our hotel to shower and to put our head on the pillow. Our prioritizing idea usually works out great, and luckily we both generally agree on everything.
