We Showed the Youngsters a Thing or Two!

Of all the vacations in Costa Rica that we could have taken, this one has to be the most audacious. For the traveler with an adventurous spirit Costa Rica provides many turbulent rivers where you can take part in white water rafting and kayaking. Imagine, if you can, a grandmother in her sixties hurtling down a zip line, followed by her silver-haired husband! We certainly showed some of the youngsters half our age that our stamina hadn’t diminished with age! Neither of us thought that hurtling down the side of a mountain on a mountain bike was quite our thing so, instead, we chose the marginally more sedate pastime of horseback riding – at a gallop along the waters’ edge of the nearby beach. This was truly a holiday of a lifetime and we squeezed every last drop of experience we could out of our two weeks in Costa Rica.
